A house has reportedly exploded on Kitchener Road, near Kingston and Galloway Roads in Scarborough on Sunday morning.Police received a call at approximately 11:37 a.m. of reports that a house had exploded.It is unknown if anyone was inside and there are no injuries to confirm at this time. Multiple emergency service vehicles are on scene.A TTC shelter bus is on scene for any displaced residents and police are asking crowds to move back from the area for safety.Toronto Fire says that it is considered a three-alarm fire, the fire is under control at this point and crews are working on protecting exposure to adjacent homes.Protesters set to demonstrate across Canada as Israel-Hamas war rages

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — 76ers guard Kelly Oubre Jr. broke a rib when he was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene Saturday night in Philadelphia’s Center City, authorities said.The 27-year-old Oubre was taken to a hospital in stable condition after being hit and was released a few hours later. The team officially ruled Oubre out for a game Sunday night and said in a statement he would be re-evaluated in about one week.Oubre was walking near his home at about 7:20 p.m. Saturday and was heading west on a street when a vehicle travelling in the same direction “at a high rate of speed” tried to turn south onto the street he was crossing. A train has derailed in Gilpin County, but no injuries have been reported, county officials announced Sunday morning.The derailment occurred in Black Hawk, in the area of Pactolus Lake and South Beaver Creek roads, approximately 15 miles northeast of Central City.So far, no injuries have been reported and officials have found no leakage or fumes escaping from the derailed cars, according to a Sunday news release from the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office.The sheriff’s office is asking the public to avoid the area, but said they don’t anticipate issuing any evacuations.The cause of the derailment is under investigation. Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency Saturday night, following a massive fire that shut down part of the 10 Freeway in downtown Los Angeles.The affected stretch of freeway is set to be closed until further notice, officials said.The blaze was first reported early Saturday around 12:30 a.m. at a pallet yard underneath the freeway near East 14th and Alameda streets. The flames quickly spread to neighboring storage yards and engulfed both sides of 14th Street underneath the 10, eventually melting some of the freeway's steel guardrails and damaging firetrucks, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.More than 160 firefighters from 26 companies and a helicopter responded to battle the blaze.Three nearby buildings were saved by fire crews, but there was still severe damage across the freeway. A large fire that broke out underneath the 10 Freeway in downtown Los Angeles on Saturday has led to the full closure of part of the highway and a state of emergency being issued. What caused the blaze remains under investigation, but the heat from the flames was so intense that it melted some of the steel guardrails and cement columns that hold up part of the overpass.
