30-Year-Old Suspect Arrested after DUI Hit-and-Run Collision near South Shadow Crest StreetLAS VEGAS, NV (October 20, 2023) – Late Sunday morning, Ryan Nimmo was apprehended following a DUI hit-and-run incident that occurred on East Warm Springs Road. The incident unfolded around 11:30 a.m., near the vicinity of South Shadow Crest Street on October 15th.According to reports, 30-year-old Nimmo was operating a westbound Chevrolet Silverado 2500, while a 2017 Hyundai Elantra was traveling north on Shadow Crest Street.Under circumstances yet to be determined, the Chevrolet drove through a red traffic signal and proceeded into the intersection. Consequently, the Chevrolet collided with the right side of the Hyundai. (KRON) -- The Oakland Zoo welcomed a new resident this week. The zoo's giraffe herd is celebrating the arrival of a new baby giraffe that was given birth to Thursday. The giraffe calf is the first giraffe born at the zoo in 11 years, according to zoo officials. After a lengthy pregnancy -- giraffes have a gestation period of 14-16 months -- the calf's mother Kijiji gave birth in the giraffe habitat. (KRON) -- A San Rafael Home Depot employee was arrested after the home improvement retail store alleged she embezzled approximately $1.2 million over the past year, according to the San Rafael Police Department.Home Depot’s internal investigation revealed the female employee allegedly started taking cash from the retail store starting in August 2022, and reported it to San Rafael police on Oct. 17, 2023. At the time of arrest, San Rafael PD said the employee had over $8,000 in her possession.
