Grand Pizzeria, the pizza spot next to Grand Ole Creamery in St. Paul, has closed.The restaurant, which served pizza for more than 10 years, announced its closure on social media and hinted that something exciting will take the place of the pizzeria.The social media post reads in part:“We want to express our sincere gratitude to our loyal customers who have supported us over the years. While we are sad to say goodbye to Grand Pizzeria, we are thrilled that a new and exciting concept will be taking its place. The newest Loon has landed in Minnesota.South Korean player Jeong Sang-bin traveled from Zurich to Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport on Friday and went through medical exams in Blaine. It was one of the final steps before Minnesota United can announce the 20-year-old winger will join the club on a permanent transfer from Wolverhampton in the English Premier League.Jeong has signed a three-year contract with MNUFC, plus an option year for 2026, a club spokesman shared. A mining company that operates a rock quarry in Grey Cloud Island Township wants part of its land to be annexed into neighboring Cottage Grove.Holcim MWR Inc., formerly Aggregate Industries, filed an annexation petition on Thursday to have 120 acres annexed to Cottage Grove; the company owns about 600 acres in the township. POWNAL, Vt. (NEWS10) -- A Pownal woman was arrested late Thursday night following a road rage incident around Route 7 and Mann Hill Road. According to the police, Tonya Florio, 42, hit another vehicle twice before leaving the roadway and getting stuck in a ditch. He was shot and killed during an incident at a gas station on March 12. A former Denver Police sergeant facing felony sex charges after online exchanges with a person he thought was a 14-year-old girl has pleaded guilty under an agreement allowing a four-year deferred judgment, and faces sentencing next week, according to Jefferson County authorities.Prosecutors negotiated the split-plea deal with former police sergeant Tim Hyatt, 45, who pled guilty on Jan. 23 to attempting to commit sexual assault on a child, authorities said. Actor Lance Reddick, perhaps best known for his role on "The Wire," has died at the age of 60, according to TMZ and the Los Angeles Times.Reddick's body was found in Studio City at about 9:30 a.m. Friday, TMZ said. His cause of death has not been released, but foul play is not expected.The Los Angeles Police Department declined to identify Reddick, but the department did confirm officers responded to a death investigation in the 1200 block of Sarah Street.Reddick had a long career in TV and film, but he will most likely be remembered as Lt. A woman was fatally struck by a suspected hit-and-run driver in Highland Park Friday morning.The crash was reported around 9 a.m. in the 5600 block of Aldama Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.Police blocked off the street in the residential neighborhood and a canopy was set up where the victim was killed, aerial video from Sky5 showed.An LAPD unit was also stationed in the parking lot of a nearby grocery store.Neighbors told KTLA the victim was a woman in her 60s who lived on Aldama Street.
