Suspect in Uber crash that killed 3 in South Los Angeles was on probation for murder A man suspected of driving a speeding vehicle that crashed into a fully occupied Uber, killing three passengers, in the Westmont area of Los Angeles earlier this month was on probation for murder at the time of the crash, officials said Wednesday. The driver who allegedly ran a red light and T-boned the Uber while traveling at a speed near 90 mph has been identified as Gregory Black, 31. He is a known gang member and has three felony convictions, including one for murder, Los Angeles police Detective Ryan Moreno detailed. Driver leads CHP on chase, crashes in East Bay (KRON) -- The California Highway Patrol arrested a driver following a vehicle pursuit that ended in a crash Wednesday morning in the East Bay.Around 8:50 a.m., CHP officers attempted to pull over a car on Highway 4 near Railroad Avenue in Pittsburg for a carpool violation. The driver refused to stop and led CHP on a car chase as they traveled onto Highway 24.Within 15 minutes of the police chase, the driver crashed and overturned their car near Pleasant Hill Road. The driver exited the overturned car and fled on foot from police. CHP was eventually able to place the driver into custody.
