Jared Polis and the State of Colorado after multiple gun bills were signed into law on Friday.The Rocky Mountain Gun Owners group is suing over two new laws - one that requires a minimum three-day waiting period before a firearm can be purchased and raising the minimum age to purchase a firearm to 21 years old. A suspect has been captured by police after a pursuit ended with him swimming into a canal and fleeing into a South Florida backyard.Law enforcement later identified the suspect as 54-year-old Marc A. Anderson.A Florida Highway Patrol trooper attempted to stop Anderson who is accused of ramming into a trooper in the area of Northwest 103rd Street and 32nd Avenue, Friday morning.At some point, troopers lost sight of the vehicle and called for a Miami-Dade Police helicopter, which was able to locate the truck. 7Skyforce hovered over the scene where Anderson exited a white pickup and fled on foot in the area of Northwest Second Avenue, near at South Biscayne River Drive.During his escape, Anderson jumped into a nearby canal. A New Hampshire man appeared in court Friday as he faces charges in connection with accusations that he set off a pair of pipe bombs in the town of Weare earlier this week. Less than a day after his arrest late Thursday afternoon, 54-year-old Dale Stewart Jr. pleaded not guilty and was ordered held after his attorney suggested he undergo a mental health evaluation. An investigation got underway this week after multiple armed robberies along the same street in Jamaica Plain. Security cameras captured some of the crimes, which all took place at cell phone stores. (CNN) — One of three teens accused of killing a 20-year-old Colorado woman after hurling a large rock through the windshield of her car snapped a photo “as a memento” of the crime, according to arrest affidavits released Thursday.Alexa Bartell was killed April 19 after her vehicle and several others were struck by rocks, said Jacki Kelley, spokesperson for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities believe at least seven vehicles were hit by large landscaping rocks.The 18-year-old suspects — Joseph Koenig, Nicholas Karol-Chik and Zachary Kwak — were arrested Tuesday on charges of first-degree murder and extreme indifference, according to the sheriff’s office.
