ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A woman is in custody after shots were fired inside the Hollywood Casino Sunday afternoon.According to Officer Terry Mancusi, a spokesperson for the Maryland Heights Police Department, the shooting happened just before noon.Maryland Heights officers arrived to assist the St. Charles County Police Department.A source with the Maryland Heights PD says a woman fired shots into the ceiling of the casino. A black bear bit a man who was relaxing in a hammock at a Colorado campground Saturday night, according to Colorado Parks and Wildlife.The bear wandered up to the man as he lay in the hammock at a campground in the Purgatoire River bottoms near Trinidad, the wildlife agency said in a news release Sunday. The attack was reported at about 10 p.m.The man, who has not been publicly identified, told officials he was in the hammock when he heard a rustling noise, turned on his headlamp and discovered a bear beside him. The black bear bit the man on the upper right arm and then turned and walked away, according to Colorado Parks and Wildlife.The man suffered a 2- to 3-inch bite. Wildlife officials said Sunday they are searching for the bear and have set traps to try to capture the animal. A Walnut Creek man has been arrested on multiple rape charges, the Walnut Creek Police Department said on Saturday. Love, a 2020 first-round pick from Utah State, is entering his first season as the Packers’ starting quarterback following the trade of four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets.The Packers selected Clifford out of Penn State in the fifth round of this year’s draft. DENVER (KDVR) - A group of women spent their weekend at the Denver Police Academy to have a hands-on experience to see if becoming a police officer could be part of their futures. “I've wanted to be a Denver police officer for as long as I could," AuJele Milliner, a recruit for the weekend said. The Women's Community Academy had 23 women in total. Some like Milliner have expressed interest in joining the police force. On Saturday, the academy hosted more classroom work, but come Sunday, everything was more hands-on. “The national average for women in the police force is 12%," Jeannette Dominguez, a Denver Police Technician said, "here at DPD, we're at 16%. We are better than the national average but we still have a ways to go and we are actively working on it every day." Three young people were taken to the hospital after a group that took over an intersection in Northwest Miami-Dade got into a heated dispute that led to a shooting, police said.According to Miami-Dade Police, the group was called in a so-called “intersection takeover” on Northwest 146th Street and Seventh Avenue, early Sunday morning.At some point, detectives said, the group started to fight. At around 6 a.m., someone pulled out a gun and opened fire, striking the victims.Paramedics transported a man and a woman to Ryder Trauma Center in stable condition.A third victim was taken to Hialeah Hospital by a friend. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is back up and running as usual after a terminal was evacuated.The Broward Sheriff’s Office received a call about a suspicious unattended bag located in the upper level of Terminal 1 just before 10:35 a.m., Sunday.BSO’s Bomb Squad Unit responded and cleared the area.Traveler Geoffrey Adler praised first responders for their quick and decisive actions.“I think the Broward County Sheriff’s Department, they’re doing a good job keeping an eye on what’s going on,” he said. “I appreciate that, and I appreciate the care for our safety and well-being.
