“Saturday Night Live” was off the air due to the SAG-AFTRA strike in September when Rep. Lauren Boebert was escorted out of the “Beetlejuice” musical in Denver for causing a disturbance. But the show’s writers and comedians couldn’t let the Colorado politician live the incident down before cracking a few jokes.During this weekend’s “SNL” cold open, actor Mikey Day played a defeated Rep. Jim Jordan, soliciting condolences after failing in his bid to be elected House speaker. He receives a call from Rep. Boebert (Chloe Fineman) who suggests he just keep running.“Look Jim, things are going exactly as planned. Just keep running for speaker, and even if you don’t win, great. The government shuts down and we blow this whole thing up,” she says, before being interrupted by a hand that enters the frame and gropes her.“Stop, stop, stop,” Fineman says.“Sorry, are you out somewhere?” Day asks.“Yeah, I gotta go. I’m at the theater seeing ‘Aladdin,’” Fineman replies.Related ArticlesT...Colorado weather: Prepare for wintry weekend as temps plummet to the low 20s by Sunday
