Evacuations lifted after home explodes in Wellington neighborhood DENVER (KDVR) — A two-story home exploded Wednesday afternoon in Wellington, forcing mandatory evacuations for homes nearby.It happened around 2:13 p.m. in the 7500 block of Little Fox Lane, according to Wellington Fire Protection District. FOX31 Newsletters: Sign up to get breaking news sent to your inbox "Upon arrival firefighters found a two-story home with obvious damage in addition to a small fire in the basement and another in the attic," interim Fire Chief David Cropp said in a release.Around 70% of the home was damaged in the explosion, but no residents or firefighters were hurt, Cropp said. Two dogs were rescued and taken to veterinary hospitals.Cropp so no other nearby structures were involved. The evacuation order was lifted around 4 p.m.
